Description
Painted on Location during the Canes Film Festival near sunset. I waited for the sun to come out but realized just in time that this scene would make a great painting.
This scene shows the beach pedestrian promenade along the famous La Croisette bulevard where all the glitzy shops and hotels are located. When the weather is good, the promenade and chairs are filled with people enjoing the sun while below the wall are restaurants and private beach areas for the high end hotels across the road where one can rent beach chairs for the day, there is an old fasioned Merry-Go-Round further along and the Film Festival building is at the end of this walkway close to the main marina and yacht basin.
