Artist's Description
Autumn sunlight shines trough the trees while a gentle breez softly teases the Union Jack flag.
Fall is one of my favourite time of the seasons, the lower angel of sunlight here in the northern hemisphere creates wonderful abstract shadows as it meanders through the trees while leaving long directional lines on lawns and fields. The turning leaves offer an artist many more palette colour choices. It is a short season usually lasting only a few weeks of good weather which I guess is also what makes it a special time.
I painted this in Oakville, Ontario, the house is Justus W. Williams original place, one of the city's oldest historical buildings dating back to 1838 in the old quarter along Lake Ontario's northern shoreline.
