A house on a hillside village in Tuscany, Italians live in close quarters in these parts of the Mediterranean landscape. This painting was done west of the Arno river near Greve in Chianti not far from our villa by the town of Fegline Valdarno. The Arno river's headwaters originate in the Apennines mountains and run south through Florence under the famous Ponte Veccio then west to the Tyrrhenian Sea, feeding much of the wine growing region of Chianti, Tuscany.
