Artist's Description

A Village on a hillside in Tuscany, Italy, wheat fields are abundant in these parts of the Mediterranean landscape. This painting was done west of the Arno river near Montepulciano not far from our villa. The Arno river's headwaters originate in the Apennines mountains and run south through Florence under the famous Ponte Veccio then west to the Tyrrhenian Sea, feeding much of the wine growing region of Chianti, Tuscany.
