Such wonderful atmosphere and light, Michael! This is a spectacular painting. I can imagine the fresh autumn air and hear the crunch of the fallen leaves beneath our feet. My fav for the day. f/v

Artist's Description

Now, just as in the 1800s, leaves turn yellow, children's laughter drifts from mounds of
freshly piled leaves, rakes lean idle against porches, their purpose now a sweet smell of
burning leaves. The sun's rays cut the smoke as gnarly branches once hidden amongst
the green foliage cast long abstract shadows on whitewashed walls marking the end of October.

In 1839 Capt. William Wilson House - Oakville, Ontario
24" x 30" - Oil on Canvas
This region's survey of 1833 showed a shipyard, sawmill, grain warehouse
and a park named George's Square, named after Oakville's founder,
William's father.
