Artist's Description

A local social scene or just people watching, a Bistro is the place to be on a warm summer evening. During my one man show in Vence, France I looked forward after the gallery closed each day, to hang out at some of the local Cafes or Bistros and meet some of the towns fascinating characters. The culture in this part of the world is laid back and casual where most people gradually show up late to eat and socialize. I met other artists, many tourists and once in a while a local character with fascinating stories of local political corruption, historical tidbits and much more.
Somewhere around midnight after too much wine I would try to walk back to my rented villa, looking forward to the next day's adventure of endless characters and stories.
