These trees like Birch or Aspen are always fun to paint. Like my other Birch Series, I try do paint a variation of this theme that has been very successful for me. This painting I call Tanglewood, was the result of driving by a group of Birch Trees that where twisted and bent in such a way that they seemed tangled together, the red and white contrasts nicely with the black background in this landscape painting making it a great contemporary decoration for any wall.
