A Tuscan Landscape at sunset in the Italian Montelcino hills of Tuscany, Italy. A typical Mediterranean landscape that is as old as time. The sculptured trees and cedars are almost a trademark of this region and line many of the lane ways to the farms now turned into agritourism.
I was driving around the lower parts of Tuscany in the Val d' Orcia area when I took what appeared to be a public road which seemed to go on forever until I came up on this single farm house high on a lonely ridge. I decided to use a simple pallet creating an almost monochromatic backlight contemporary scene.
