Artist's Description
There are still many barns like this one left but slowly they are disappearing. The old ways of farming are slowly changing with modern technology, wooden barns are being replaced with steel structures and the old John Deer is now a supper tractor with climate control, music and all manner of hydraulic attachments.
I often drive the countryside looking for things to paint and every time I see an old barn I stop to photograph it before it disappears forever, come to think of it old Barns would make a great subject for a one man show some day.
