The light beyond always seems brighter when walking to the edge of a forest. Silver birch trees make an interesting pattern, their bark has a real characteristic pattern of light horizontal textured lines their branches leave a dark spot as the tree matures. They are also one of the heartiest species going and thrive in much of the world's northern climate.

I painted this scene with two basic colors, blue and yellow which gives you all the colors in this scene along with a few highlights of purple and flowers using magenta which also gave me the browner shades behind the trees.
