Artist's Description

In Northern Ontario the landscape is rich with the granite Precambrian Shield, also called the Canadian Shield. It's outcroppings battered by the west wind can be seen from Quebec to Manitoba and is particularly noticeable in the northern Great Lakes region like Georgian Bay and Lake Superior. The once molten rock created rich and free forming veins that meander throughout in colours only nature can create.
