Description
Saint Paul de Vence or Saint-Paul as it is sometimes called is a commune in the Alpes Maritimes region of the South of france. A short distance inland from the Mediterranean, it sits on a hill top typical of this area's earliest settler's defence strategy. Its name also reflects the town of Vence a sort distance away which is the area's main economic center. Saint-Paul is a highly traveled tourist destination boasting many art galleries, the most famous is the Maeght Foundation gallery which host some of the world's most treasured art shown regularly. The Ivey covered medieval entrance door in the southern part of the town
leads into La Grange, a great reastaurant where one can dine on the wonders
of Provence and Mediterranean cuisine prepared by true culinary artists.
