Music is often my muse.
The purple haze of Twilight Time drifts across the lake and echoes through the landscape of time. A favourite haunting melody is the Platters' great hit by Eugene Amero's 1970's jazz saxophone version of "Twilight Time". Once you hear it you'll be hooked too.
To me it conjures up a misty evening with this solitary sax player's melody drifting across the water to disappear into the purple haze of twilight into the realms of one imagination. I've always pictured this on some distant Algonquin or Adirondack shoreline in the solitude of a summer's evening so I finally got my paints out and created this fantasy.
