Gorgeous autumn scene! f/v!

Artist's Description

The sun's rays cut the smoke as gnarly branches once hidden amongst green foliage
cast long abstract shadows on whitewashed walls.
Leaves turn yellow, children’s laughter drifts from mounts of freshly raked leaves.
Rakes lean idle against porches, their purpose now a sweet smell of burning leaves.

September begins the Honey Wind season, the warm sunlight makes the landscape of yellow and gold leaves glow. It is my favourite season of the year, always too short but always inspiring. The 1960's song "The Honey Winds Blow" by Glenn Yarborough brings to mind this feeling and I will continue to be inspired each autumn to capture the perfect painting of this golden few moments.
A couple of more warm sunny weeks and November will put an end to what many call the Indian Summer.

Well yes, if I could not draw I probably would, however a photo rarely reflects the three dimensional world we experiences, how often have you been disappointed that your photograph did not turn out as you expected? Let me explain; in a three dimensional world we see things subjectively, photographs can only capture a split second of any scene which often disappoints and is the main reason...
