Artist's Description

This scene is typical of a county road winding it's way through a maple bush
in North America. Here it winds through an area which for many years had a small maple syrup operation in the bush to the left of the road. I was on my way to work and decided to take the longer slow route instead of the freeway, boy did it pay off!
This scene greeted me early on a September morning just before the fog lifted completely, problem was that I had to fly to the other part of the world that day and could hardly wait to get back in my studio to get started on this painting. For the next three days I mulled the image over and over and I think that was why it turned out so good, I had the image firmly etched in my mind. I still drive down that road once in a while but now the fence is gone and much of the sugar bush has thinned out.

Let me explain; in a three dimensional world we see things subjectively, photographs can only capture a split second of any scene which often disappoints and is the main reason...
