Artist's Description

Another morning in Tuscany's Chianti region, the morning fog began to clear, high lighting this Italian farm house amongst the slowly emerging green landscape this region is famous for. Chianti is known for producing a red wine which historically was bottled in a flasck with a straw basket but now is bottled in many shapes and forms. The earliest records of this area's wine production dates from the 1300 th century when growers from the Castellina and Radda region formed an alliance to produce and bottle what was then probably a white wine. Today these Tuscan wines come in various designations such as Chianti Classico, Chianti Superiore, Gallo Nero etc., for me however it is the region's historical and physical beauty that keeps me comming back.
